The Exploration Fair is the fall semester's premiere event to discern and discover the next steps of your academic journey.
Not sure about a major? Want to learn about minors? Have you discovered a new interest? Are you ready to learn beyond the classroom?
A partnership between the Center for University Advising, Meruelo Center for Career Development, and Student Government, the Exploration Fair is an opportunity for all students to speak with faculty and upperclass students, compare possible majors and minors, and create connections with centers and research teams.
Exploration Fair 2025
The Exploration Fair brings together majors, minors, and other academic programs into one room for an evening of conversation and exploration. Join a 5-min "Exploration Session" upon entry to the fair and then engage with all corners of campus to learn more about the distinct opportunities available.

The Exploration Fair, a low-stakes chance to speak with faculty and upper-class students, compare majors and minors, and create connections with centers and research teams.
Upon entry into the fair:
As you enter the Exploration Fair, you will join members from the Center for University Advising and the Center for Career Development for a 5-min session, outlining discernment practices, advice, and a few practical recommendations for how to best engage with the fair.
While in the fair:
Within Dahnke Ballroom, departments and other academic units will host tables and invite you into brief conversations about your discernment and opportunities to learn more about distinct programs.
After the fair:
Following the Exploration Fair, follow up with departments, staff, and faculty and enter into further discussion about your academic discernment, witness scholars at work, and discover more about each distinct educational opportunity.
