Faculty Discernment Talks-in-Residence invite Notre Dame faculty into residence halls to share stories of how they discovered, cultivated, and pursued their intellectual passions. With a particular focus on the discernment of academic paths and making important decisions, the conversations are designed primarily as a mechanism for students to informally engage with faculty and witness a modeled process of discernment.

Andrew Bartolini graduated from Notre Dame in 2013 and now directs the College of Engineering’s First-Year Program, which features a two-course sequence of engineering courses for approximately 500 students, with a diverse set of instructors representing each department. He also leads a team of two dozen undergraduate first-year engineering student assistants.

The most convenient way to access BP's basement is through the main door, in which turning left leads to stairs to the basement, and turning right leads to the elevator which can take you directly down into the basement.
