Sister Helen Prejean, who for decades has been the leader and moral conscience at the heart of the anti-death-penalty movement in the United States, will speak at the University of Notre Dame on Monday, March 25, 2024 from 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM in Downes Club, Corbett Family Hall. The event, “Pursuing a Life Well-Lived with Sister Helen Prejean,” is presented by the Moreau First Year Experience course and is free for all students, staff, and faculty. Professor William C. Mattison, Moreau Program Faculty Director, will moderate the conversation.
Sister Helen has spent much of her life accompanying inmates on death row and their victims’ grieving families. Her ministry with those suffering and on the margins has equipped her to speak with great wisdom on matters of mission, kinship, and how to pursue a life well-lived.
