Spring 2024 Registration Advising Meetings
All first-year students are required to attend a Spring 2024 Registration Advising Meeting.
On Nov. 9, students who have not attended a meeting will have a registration hold placed on their record. You cannot register for courses for Spring 2024 if you have an advising hold on your record, so it is essential that you attend a Registration Advising Meeting.
Integrate this advising meeting with Exploration Fair on Nov. 13 to discern the next steps of your academic journey!
What meeting should I go to?
- You are required to attend one meeting.
- You should attend a meeting hosted by the advising team of your intended college or school.
- The Mendoza College of Business meetings are only for students who were pre-approved for Mendoza at the time of admission to Notre Dame. Even if you are planning to apply for an internal transfer to Mendoza, you should attend a meeting for your current intended college.
- You are welcome to attend more than one meeting if you are considering changing your primary major (with the exception of the Mendoza meetings). You do not need to attend two meetings if you are pursuing a second major in a different college. (For instance, a biology major with a second major in English should only attend the Science meeting.)
When are the meetings?

What if I can't attend?
- Remember, these advising meetings are required to ensure you are well-supported and empowered for successful course registration. If you do not attend one of these group meetings, the advising hold will not be removed from your record, which will prevent you from registering for courses for Spring 2024. Contact your First Year Advisor immediately if you are physically unable to attend.
