Exploration Week
Exploration Week

Exploration Week is the fall semester's premiere event to discern and discover the next steps of your academic journey.
Not sure about a major? Want to learn about minors? Have you discovered a new interest? Are you ready to learn beyond the classroom?
A partnership between the Center for University Advising, Meruelo Center for Career Development, and Student Government, Exploration week begins with the Exploration Kickoff Fair - an opportunity for all first-year students to speak with faculty and upperclass students, compare possible majors and minors, and create connections with centers and research teams.
Part One: Exploration Kickoff Fair
The Exploration Kickoff Fair brings together majors, minors, and other academic programs into one room for an evening of conversation and exploration. Join a 5-min "Exploration Session" upon entry to the fair and then engage with all corners of campus to learn more about the distinct opportunities available!
- Tuesday, Nov. 1
- 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Dahnke Ballroom
Part Two: Exploration Week Events
Here, you can engage in deeper discussion about your academic discernment and discover more about each distinct educational opportunity.
- Wednesday, Nov. 2 - Friday, Nov. 4
- All Across Campus
Spring Registration Advising Meetings
All first-year students are required to attend a Spring 2023 Registration Advising Meeting. Integrate this advising meeting with the knowledge you gain from Exploration Week to discern the next steps of your academic journey!
- Meetings take place Sun., Oct, 30 - Sun., Nov. 6.
